Registration is OPEN for Summer Camp 2024

We hope you are just as excited as we are for Madison Rec Summer Camp 2024 to begin!!!

Dates: Jun 24 – Aug 16, 2024 (8 weeks)*

* Summer Camp will be CLOSED on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5, 2024.

Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday **

** 8:00 am early drop-off will be a $5 a day add-on.

** 5:00 pm late pick-up will be a $5 a day add-on.

Summer Camp Location: Madison Elementary School and Burke Field, Village Road, Madison, NH

Drop off and pick-up will be at Madison Elementary School; exceptions may occur for special activities.

We are working on planning 2 beach days a week to “The Foot of the Lake” beach on Silver Lake in Madison on Mondays and Wednesdays. We will have a weekly field trip or outdoor adventure on Fridays.

Ages: Children residing in the town of Madison entering 1st grade through 7th grade in the fall of 2024.

Counselors in Training (CITs): We would like to invite CITs to assist our Summer Camp Counselors with their programs this year. We only have a few spots available for this program. We are asking incoming 8th graders to apply and write a short essay telling us why they are interested in becoming a CIT this summer. We will also be interviewing all applicants. All CIT applications are due by May 1, 2024.

CIT Applicants: Do not complete Summer Camp Registration Form. Please complete the Summer Camp 2024 CIT Form with Essay 2024 only.

Summer Camp Fees*: Weekly basis: $100** OR Full 8-week program: $600.00**

* Field Trips will be an additional fee that will be be determined at a later date.

** 8:00 am early drop-off will be a $5 a day add-on.

** 5:00 pm late pick-up will be a $5 a day add-on.

If you are enrolling multiple campers from the same immediate family, a $25 program discount will be applied per camper to the total fee for up to 3 siblings. Please complete a separate registration form for each camper.

There are programs available should you need financial assistance. One of them is the OSSIPEE CHILDREN’S FUND – Ossipee Children’s Fund (ocfnh.org) There may be others and if you are in need, please get in touch with Madison Recreation and we will do the best we can to help.

Summer Camp 2024 registration fees are nonrefundable. This may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

All registrations and payment in full must be received by May 30, 2024. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and is contingent upon staffing.

Please make checks payable to the Town of Madison with “Summer Camp 2024” in the memo, and deliver to Madison Town Hall, 1923 Village Road, Madison, NH or via mail to Town of Madison, PO Box 248, Madison, NH 03849.

Swim Lessons: We are also very excited to be working on a Swimming Lesson Program strictly for our Summer Camp kids.  We will have more details to come as we are still in the process of planning an incredible summer for your child.

Summer Camp Handbook is linked in this form for each camper and parent/guardian to review and sign an acknowledgement.  The handbook will detail behavioral expectations of our campers to ensure a fun and safe program for everyone.  Sharing information about your child can be critical to their success at Summer Camp; we welcome a discussion to best support your child.

Communications:  Summer Camp updates and alerts will be communicated via email and posted on the Madison Recreation Facebook page @madisonNHrecreation. Just like our sports programs, we will be using the Sports Engine app for communicating as well. Please download the Sports Engine app on your phone, then check your email and accept the invite from Madison Recreation.
